The emotional intelligence of the evil queen Regina Mills

Regina Mills was the evil queen of the story Once Upon a Time; in Storybrooke she was the mayor and also the Henry's foster mother. Henry was the grandson of Snow White and the first and only child of Emma Swan.

In the film she showed very high emotional intelligence because she could recognize her own feelings and the feelings of others, in order to manipulate them.

She was very skilled to manipulate people´s feelings because she always thought how people could feel or could act about the malicious acts of the wicked queen.

She could control her feelings with her evil and her emotional intelligence because despite his happiness was false, she felt happy hurting people.

Surely she wasn´t happy mistreating people and she always needed true love, but because of her high emotional quotient she could enjoy hurting people.

Probably when she was a child she hadn´t evil in his heart and she needed affection, but perhaps in the past she suffered a lot and someone hurt her because now she only wants revenge and the misfortune of people.

The evil queen Regina could strengthen and increase her emotional intelligence with all her power and evil; because nobody was born with high emotional intelligence, everybody can increase their intelligence; so the queen Regina should increase her emotional quotient to do good things and forget the hatred and bitterness that she has at her heart.

The emotional intelligence allows people can choose the best solution in a social problem in order to have a better life full of emotional tranquility; so if we don´t have excellent emotional quotient we can take psychological therapy to help our mind to have a good progress of mental ability and an emotional stability.

To have a good emotional intelligence is so important discover our own emotions and feelings, recognized and manipulate them; also we need create a self – motivation and manage personal relationships.

Henry Mills is a major character in the series Once Upon a Time. He is the adopted son of Regina Mills who is an evil witch.
Henry finds Emma Swan the day of her birthday, and he asked her if she can take him to Storybrook, Emma was so confused so she tried to leave him but he begs her not leave him, saying that he has no parents, he has a mother, who is evil and she doesn`t love him, she only pretends to love him. When they arrive to Storybrook, Regina, his adoptive mother was very concerned and she opens the door seeing him, she asked him where was he? He answers that he was with his real mother. So begins an adventure of a fairy tale trapped in reality.
I think Henry has a very different emotional intelligence, he is a child who is very dreamy, kind-hearted, and humble, he has a lot of faith, and he never loses hope. Analyze the personality of Henry is seeing a child full of innocence, he has a powerful gift, he can convince people, the great power is that he knows how to act in  hard and difficult situations. Definitely he is not spiteful; he has a big heart that allows him to forgive. I think that he represents the side of goodness and purity of the TV serie.

On the first episode of the TV serie, once upon a time, we could saw the change of the emotinal intelligence that Emma had, from the beginning through the end of the episode. When the episode started, she acted like, she loved be alone and she showed herself very stronger, but at the time that she arrived to her house she realized, that she is alone, another birthday, when she made a wish she started thinking that she needed someone beside her, and that was the time when her son appeared to her door.

Again she wanted to show to others that she didn´t feel nothing at all for him but inside of her, she was very happy, because he is her chance to stop been lonely in her life, that was the reason of, why she took him to his town.  
Then she started talking with his son and in that time she realized that he had some aspects that she has, and she had been starting to feel something for him.

 

When her son told her that his stepmother didn´t love him and she pretended love him, Emma stopped thinking with her head and she began thinking with her heart. She wanted the best for him and when her son run away from his home, we could see that, she was worried for him, in fact of that, she helped to the stepmother to found him; and when she found him she talked with him and she feel the need to stayed near of him in order to take care of himself.

So with all of these aspects we can say that Emma at the beginning of the history has a high intelligence quotient but she doesn’t develop her emotional intelligence because she is alone. But at the time that her son found her, she starts developing her emotional intelligence, her emotions and her love of mother awakes; her instinct to protect her son takes power over herself.

In the serie once upon a time there is a little boy who is ten years old, whose name is Henry. Henry appears as an adopted child, although he doesn’t like his family and that’s why he went looking to his biological mother.

Henry seemed to be a sweet kid who has his problems.

His Teacher actually says that he has trouble making new friends and that he was a lonely boy too. That’s why the Teacher gave him a fairytale book as a present, this book helped henry to see the world on a different way. He believes in happy endings and in magic. Even though he is lonely he thinks in the welfare of everybody in the little town he Lives. He cares a lot of everyone, and he wants to help them, in fact his biological mother thinks he is a bit crazy because he thinks all of the persons living there are fairytale characters and he supposed that they are trapped in other world and they don’t remember anything, this are actually facts but nobody believes that. But he has a beautiful Spirit and he is very hopeful about everything. 

I think maybe he feels bad because he thinks his mom is evil and he feels all by himself, but he is going through that reading his beloved book and hoping on a better Life with people who he loves and that they love him too. Also he wants a happy ending in their lives because he had read a lot about this kind of endings. He seemed not to be a sentimental boy, because when he found Emma his biological mother he just said I’m your son. And she was in shock but he calmed her down. He is very intelligent like her Teacher said and audience can notice because he steal her credit card and nobody noticed it, Also he traveled all by himself  to another city looking after her real mother. He wasn’t scared at all; he just wanted to get to his goal. He is an objective person because he knows what he wants and he really doesn’t care about what other people say or think about him.

Henry was born in a prison in, to Emma Swan; his father was and he had abandoned Emma before learning she was pregnant and remained ignorant of his son's existence. Put up for a closed adoption, Henry was found by Mr. Gold of Storybrooke, Maine, who brought him to the town's mayor, Regina Mills, who wished to adopt a child; she names him after her late father. Henry grows up in Storybrooke, eventually realizing that time is frozen in the town: nobody else ages and nobody else can leave town.

The boy, Henry  has a difficult relationship with his mother, in part because she refuses to acknowledge his stories about the town being cursed and puts him in therapy, where he met Dr. Archie Hopper, who nonetheless also disbelieves Henry. Seeing he is lonely and depressed, Henry's teacher Mary Margaret Blanchard gives him a storybook of fairy tales. Henry comes to see that the stories are real and the townsfolk are the stories' characters, cursed to be unable to remember: Dr. Hopper is Jiminy Cricket, Miss Blanchard is Snow White, and his mother is none other than the Evil Queen who cast the curse in the first place. Henry also learns that he is linked to the stories: his mother is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming, who escaped the curse as a baby and is destined to break it.

Henry is like an adorable and very intelligent child who is quite mature for his age. Like his biological mother, Emma, he is classified as a lonely person, but this could be due to his obsession with the residents of Storybrooke being under the Dark Curse. He is intelligent and quick-witted, that he has received from his mother and grandparents, Snow White and Prince Charming.
